@Jazzydatfreakyshorte take a look at my newest video please, but i always cornrow my hair wet with lots of conditioner in it, let hair dry and undo cornrows lightly dampen hair and go, gel is not needed, but if it works better for you go ahead

I just subscribed, and I know I'm late but great idea! I will have to definetly try this once it gets warmer. Also I feel most the natural hair styles I've worn so far have an 80's feel so I know what you mean....lol!
