  • I love that sound. Sounds like those old Jimmy and Johnny performances from the Grand ol Opry.Classic Fender sounds Warm, round ,and clean without being brittle or sterile. IT iS ALIVE!. Gonna go check out your thread Crawfish! Dan (akaTele Salivas)

    It's pretty much a partscaster - only the neck is Mexican. The pickups are Don Mare 50s.

  • Nice tone. really nice. No slop.

    Only thing is you've got it on 12 and my 5f1's are shredding (and of course noisy) at 12.

    I have a '54 5E1 (offhand memory) that sounds much more like this.

    But sounds great regardless. Good job!
