wow I need to keep up with these comments alittle better, Dollar Store,,, Any toy that has color changing or flashing leds can be used without any problems.

There might be a screw hidden behind a paper sign. Just rip off the paper from under your mouse. Thought mine was un-openable too xD

Very nice tutorial, I want to do this too, replacing yellow LEDS with blue ones. But I haven't got that blue thingie you've git there, is there another way? I also don't know what it is... And do you know in what kind of product would be a blue LED? Something cheap and small where you can take it out easily?

you can get the leds online just google color changing leds or you can get them from Japan dirt cheap. I get most of my leds from toys that you can buy at the dollar store.

You don't need the solder sucker. It's useful but it's only for removing the solder that's already there. You can just melt the solder, pull out the old LED, then remelt the solder and stick in the new LED. Not as professional but it will definitely work.

No your right you don't need the solder sucker but it works better than trying to get the two leads at the same time when replacing the led,
