Here's a very basic amateur recording of a Pittillo Custom into an 8 watt class A Lockard 187 Amplifier into Apogee Duet 2... stereo recording. This recording has some clean tones, but is mainly taking advantage of the amps nice natural distortion. The amp cleans up nicely and has been used in LA's top studios for clean tones as well has heavy tones. The first 13 seconds is the at volume about 12 o'clock, it can get much heavier.

This is a legendary recording amplifier and this is just a little of what it does with a sloppy guitar player. Guitar is a very rare chambered recording guitar hand-built by one of the best luthiers in the USA, from the 80s made with very old mahogany and a quilted lacewood top. The pickups are very low output. You can really hear the range of the amp with some good headphones or good monitors.

The Lockard cabinet is as good as they come, and has a vintage Celestion GT65 and a vintage Celestion 25W greenback. The amp cleans up nicely with just the guitar volume knob, and has no EQ. A Redwitch Fuzz God II is used for just a couple phrases here, and there's just a slight reverb on the right side, the left side is dry. This amp also has exceptional clarity, you can really hear the buzzing G string.
