  • They might of had some 6v92s laying around from earlier re powering from that 8.0 liter 4 banger Detroit 50 series

  • @marcw680 - Okay, so what are you getting at exactly? I am not quite sure and do not want to jump to conclusions.

  • did any D40LF have Cummins L10?

  • Those axles are really loud, but this engine/powertrain combo is also on TTC's 1991 Orion V's. They had problems with the ZF transmission too, so they switched.

  • Had 7513 today, had no power when I accelerated.

  • awsome

  • How old is what? The bus? 1993 as stated in the title. : )

  • How is that? lots of TA's in the states use this drivetrain.

  • None that I have ever heard of.

  • Nope. I believe the 8V71 and 6V71 engines were discontinued long before these buses were built. I am not sure when the 8V71 was discontinued, but the last Transit buses I know of built with the 6V71 engine were built in 1988. Haven't heard of any later models with 6V71 engine since.
