There is nobody on earth and there maybe not ever be a person that can be compared to the greatness of Nelson Mandela. He was and is a figure in SA to which who all look up to. I do not see that Obama can be classified in his category. Obama still needs to proof and deliver his promises - he is no icon. Making you the first black president of America is no achievement - it is what you do as president. And Mandela did not fail as president. The ANC is failing now without him.

Learn to love everybody foolish children. Stop preaching the hate, envies and fear of your fathers and mothers. You are not honoring their name. Break the cycle. become a new generation. Place love in you hearts. For every unkind word is a barb and a snare to future generations one day look back and ask questions of us

What has Obama got to do with this? Please remove Obama from this post. You can unintentionally distort history with this post. This was for Mandela and has got nothing to do with Obama

@Obi, Black people of the USA have waited for so "many painfull years"(quoted from the song) to have a black president...Don't you think that it is a similar case as that of Black South Africans? There's actually more meaning to the song than what is said. This song is more about beeing proud of our black president. Remember that beeing jailed doesn't only mean beeing in prison physically. African Amaricans+Obama were jailed for years but his spirit was never broken.Isn't that what Brenda says?
