This song was actually written by Bud Auge from Minnesota, possibly in the 1950's and he may have shared rights with Mel Tillis. But there is proff here in Minnesota that it was his song. He died of complications from Diabetes caused by an old injury from a land mine he stepped on while he was in the armed forces fighting for his country. Bud passed away in 1983 and had wrote many country songs and had many admirers and friends that he shared his songs with.Bless his soul
