I have taken one of our Greenheart 7 workshop stoves and modified it internally to make a wood gasification stove. As the stove gets hot you start to see the wood gas igniting through the slit window as the flue gases travel downwards.
I'm going to add boiler tubes in the compartment next to the gasification compartment and link that in to a central heating circuit. This should then provide efficient central heating from any wood fuel - sawdust, shavings, pellets, chip, logs...

@Stovesonline I've seen a similar, manufactured, unit working as a focal fire. It has a "cool touch" flue containing a micro bore heat exchange worm, which runs domestic hotwater. The primary exchanger is built around the fire boxes and runs underfloor heating. Radiant heat loss from the iron housing provides a pleasant boost to the room.Don't know how well that works in summer ?

DO NOT but water coils near the combustion chamber, put them on the exhaust side. You want the fire HOT, dont cool it..thats why it burns clean..
Take the heat out later in the system..read Aprovecho engineering information on Rocket stove and heating..
Insulate this stove, and youve got a REAL cooker!

You can cut fire glass with a tile saw. use any old pyrex dish..unless you want to buy pyrex glass at $50 per square foot.

Try your local rubbish tip. Get it out of an old discarded electric or gas stove. Chose the rightr size as cutting is not possible.

Yea, that was sharp! Are you going to post anything on the design or how to build one? I'd like one like that for my cabin!

i saw on the discovery channel an experimental engine fueled by wood. through gastrification i think you can get surprisingly high amount of energy from wood based products.
