these are examples of illiberal or totalitarian states. Liberal democracies can brook the consequences of free speech.

Yes myyou1, it seems like you're spewing hate speech against Alan Borovoy. By your very assumption, I guess you are going to do considerable harm to him.

Alan Borovoy's position is a joke. The guy should just shut up.
People with reason know that systemic group defamation of jews set the stage for the nazi genocide of Jews and others who wre considered unfit by the Nazis. The ethnic genocides in Bosnia and Rwanda are two other prominent example of the role of hate speech and propoganda. It is an undeniable fact that Hateful words set the stage for hateful actions (Genocide).

Expessing your views on how excessive immigration has destroyed your quality of life does not mean you are a racist. You have the right to be concerned about your countrys future.

myyou1: In the criminal code we have protections against incitement of hatred, and advocation of genocide. those are criminal acts.
What Alan is talking about is that we now have to fear saying something that may offend someone in the future. We can be punished for saying something that can offend someone in the future. Think about that.
We already have adequate protections against what you speak of via the criminal code.
