  • nicolaj0154...read perleeman's comment , it answers all your questions, as it did mine, thanks for viewing.

  • i learn quite a bit from more knowledgeable music fans with their comments ,most helpful thanks to all who took trouble to comment, and yes to Nicola ...it is quite large!

  • This is "I'm confessing that I love you" probably arranged by Eugene Peersman judging by the style of the arrangement. Great organ but unfortunately needs a lot of work done to it to get the organ back up to a decent standard.

  • Although this organ must have seen better times...

You can get an idea of the organ sounded in the past!

  • @pianolasociety Decca also recorded the Carl Frei and the Marenghi in the 60's. If you go to gaviolitom's channel he has a lot of those recordings!

  • @perleeman Yes when I heard it last summer it seemed rather wind-starved, struggled with notes and even missed chunks of tunes!!

  • @dalekbitch The Marenghi was the first and the de Leuwin i believe was the last.

  • @yu235j All of the organs at Thursford play by pipework and compressed air, not like some of the modern Decap danceband organs which play by Hammond organs with simulated accordion sound!

  • I hum this throughout the day da da da da daaaaat daaat dun du du duuuuunh!

  • I must state quite categorically that ALL of the organs at Thursford play live. There is no speaker and no piped music (pardon the pun)

  • the this is, alot of the mech instruments are not really playing, its just a speaker, but it still is a SPECTACULAR place to go in your free time (if you have the time and money, of course)

  • Please listen to the second song in the following video! The organ plays better than in this video, for sure!
