there is one simple fact, we humans have a disturbing urge to try predicting the end of the world, 2000 thing never happened did it, and my view is end of the human race will happen millions of years before the world ends and if humanity is going to get wiped out why bother worrrying about something you cant change just live your life to the fullest and when the end eventually comes you can die knowing you truely lived, but i doubt it will end in 2012 -.-

The earth is billions of years old so therefore this event has happened numerous times in the past. The twist is that it's never been documented on what effects (if any) this event has on earth. It'll be interesting to see what happens.
