Series #33 Part #1
Fly/In Cruise/In Video Magazine

We go flying with Paul Gould in his Grand Champion Classic 1946 Aeronca Chief (11AC) NC9526E. Paul shares with us highlights of this very detailed restoration. This airplane has been honored with Grand Champion awards at Oshkosh, WI - Lakeland, FL & Middletown, OH. Paul is well known in the Aeronca Chief community as a wealth of information, always willing to help other Aeronca Chief restorers.

  • yeah i fly a 1946 ac champ, there really fun to fly. nice video!

  • My father had an Aeronca, he managed to fly it, but then decided to overhaul the entire plane. He passed before the plane was complete, a real shame.

This owner would have like my father.

  • Hey Paul, call me as soon as you can, got a chance to buy a 1939.
