This is a demonstration of Aerial Photography Specialists (APS) performing power line insulator inspections on two separate 66Kv lines with one of its MD4-1000's. APS is the only certified, insured and licensed UAV operator currently offering this service and technology in Australia.

APS has been working for 5 different power line utilities over the past 3 years to produce a specifically designed Microdrone system for the sole purpose of monitoring and inspection power lines.

Using our modified systems we have been able to make inspecting power lines much safer and a lot more efficient.

You guys should make a bridge inspection version to. Current config is fine for getting the top, but get the camera to take up angle shots so you can inspect underneath the bridge. That would save so much money and safety saving people from getting stuck under there.
