Pt 1 of a series of clips made by MTV in 1986 to promote Press To Play. Interesting to see Eric Stewart talk about the album back then. Press To Play is a huge fave of mine but it is a much maligned album by most people. Some people never know!

Paul is a musical genius. I'd say even his 'worst' song(s) are way better than half the stuff people play today.

@ZeropointZero70 "Temporary Secretary" isn't great but I think he was trying to imitate Yellow Magic Orchestra or Kraftwerk. I also hear a little of Radiohead's "Idioteque" from "Kid A". So Paul was ahead of his time. Oh as he put it in the song "The World Tonight", "I go back so far, I'm in front of me".

Both John and Paul preferred to work with the chemistry of other players, as opposed to presenting compositions for the group to dutifully learn and record. They were real rock n' rollers in that regard.
