Old English is very similar to Old Norse, and ofc they are both Germanic languages. :)

Well, Old English was spoken in England in like.. 800 AD, so really it's been evolving for like... 1,200 years.

@miketh6 Uh, yes, there is. Old English became Middle English, became Modern English as we know it today...the language has been evolving for the past 5 or 6 hundred years.

In a way, I'm glad that we don't get to see her true form in its entirety. While I am curious as to what she looks like, it added some mystery about her.

@miketh6 Yes, there is. It's the language in which the poem was written. When heard, it sounds like Swedish.
