Ever hear of "Dreamscape"?
-
@DaGavinX Are you retarded? Expert at entering dreams? In inception anyone can enter dreams. If inception ripped off paprika then Paprika ripped of dreamscape you slanty eyed dumbass. Paprika had no relation between dreams and reality. It always felt insane and dreamlike. It doesnt even have similar elements.

@6048545078 Are you an idiot? You're like those people that for some reason deny the obvious similarities between Ghost in the Shell and The matrix. The premises are pretty much the same:
1-Dream machine
2-Expert at entering dreams (Paprika = Cobb)
3-Realtion between dreams and reality.
It doesn't have to be and scene by scene copy to be called a rip-off. Inception is a great movie, but the facts are undeniable. Live with it.

I didn't understand anything exept that her name is Parika ^_^

@RS42434 I just read on wiki that this anime was one of Nolan's inspiration for Inception. :)))
-
I think that Nolan knew existence of this anime before making inception.
But, Was he subject to the influence of paprika? Who cares.
The original of paprika is the SF novel announced in 1993.
(The series to a magazine was started in 1991. )
An author's name is Yasutaka Tsutsui.
He is a novelist who is very popular in Japan.

The movie clearly has the same animation and character styles as paranoid agent, which is awesome!
-
People just enjoy the movies for themselves.
-
EXACTLY! An influence NOT a rip-off. He was also influenced by The Matrix, Dreamscape, 13th floor, Dark City, Blade Runner. And even then I have NEVER heard of Chris Nolan saying that himself. I've always only READ about it. And after watching Paprika last night, I wish the Japanese has bigger eyes so they could see how different they are.

@6048545078 Nolan did state paprika as an influence.
if there is no paprika, there is no inception
