@Benbanme That sounds about right.... My guess too anyway... If you do go to Vietnam, check out the schools in Cho Lon district for kung fu. For a little more native kung fu check out the district of Binh Dinh, and or more contemperary blend of southern Thieu Lam, check out Nam Huynh Dao which looks like what chinese would call a hybrid southern shaolin + hakka east river styles.
@JookLumFist I guess, now that I look again. but then they weren't really sparring tho, they were more like, idk, telling the other what to expect and show off techniques LOL. I've never been to their practice so Idk. I heard pretty bad rep. about Viet martial arts community tho haha.
@Benbanme Next time I go to Vietnam, I will "cheet choh" your "kung fu corner". Give me the address and I'll gong sau with your guys with no hesistation. I myself represent Nam Thieu Lam (Ly, Hong, Vinh Xuan, and Bach Mi quyen). I can tell you this display is far from real. Real battles are quick, fierce, and happen so quickly that it looks sloppy at points. Show more videos of those "community battles" to convince the public. That wasn't enough.
