Oh, the little things that bug us everyday. About time someone did something.

That is damn cool, my friend. Good job!

Sad to say that Caltrans has replaced Mr. Ankroms sign after 8 years 4 months and 15 days.
-
I think about this everytime I'm driving NB 110 downtown L.A.!
I point it out to every passenger in my car, and when I'm a passenger, I point it out, as well.
I love imagining Mr. Ankrom's signature on the back of it, each time I pass.
It lightens and brightens my drive.
When CalTrans learned of this - they let it be!
Mr. Ankrom's work is still there today.
"Aesthetic De Construction" - woo hoo!

Great work Richard. We could sure use you up here in Seattle.

This is a painfully brilliant piece - of video - of art - of public activism and installation!

great job
Can you believe it !!
Mysterious Artist fine tunes in a seamless adjustment,
(so seamless it was not officially recognized until revealed)
the maze of Los Angeles traffic and shames the city fathers
but gets applause from all sides when video revealed. I respect this much more than scrawls on a freeway wall !!

RIP guerilla public service. The sign was finally replaced on November 23, 2009, with a brand new sign. The new sign does include an indicator for I-5 North.
Thank you, Mr. Ankrom.
