heard this track on a 2562 mix called solace. i remember hearing 2562 interviewed on Benji B and he said that Arthur Russell was one of those rare musicians that just went his own way and didn't bother trying to create one instantly recognizable sound.

Whether he is a genius or not is subjective. He made music that was ahead of the curve and still sounds contemporary. He made his own genre like Bjork. I think that there was genius in him.
