It's funny how his singing voice is so powerful and his speaking voice so gentle and whispery in a way. Also very interesting to hear the background of Cessa di piu resistere because the first version of Barbiere I saw (on DVD, from 1992 with Richard Croft as the count) didn't include it and I though that was how it was supposed to be.

Wow, it sounds really difficult really.

Very nice interview. Even though Juan Diego is a big star, he comes across as very humble and one can see that the passion for the music and the drama is still his biggest interest. What a great tenor!

He spent three years in Philadelphia at the Curtis Institute, studying music in general as well as singing. I think this is why his English is so good and his personality, to me, seems rather "good guy" American in general. No airs, not much ego. Down to earth. Not a divo.
