  • Yeah i understand that, ill try both ways and see what happenes

  • the thing is with waighting for fish to arive on the spot is that when u put a lead on it you may spook the fish

  • sounda to me that you should try fishing bigger beds of bait but that will also depend on wot the number of carp present is and also if they r bait fish (hungry fish)

  • hemp and party blend is fairly cheep when bought in bulk from affordable tackle i buy it all in 20KG sacksand prepair it all myself

  • WOW your bait bill must be HUGH !!!!, dont think i can afford to do that, not on my wages lol

  • Thanks, ill try casting on staright away, my normal method is wating about 45-60mins or untill i see any action then im on it like a flash

  • i guess the average being 19-22lb, there is also a small head of cats in there to keep the fry down and the roach at bay, my rec is 32lb on the surface a few summers ago using a flavoured doggie...sorry had to post in 2 posts as maximum is 500 characters

  • I fish a syndiacte lake and acomercial fishery, the first has a large head of tench and bream to low doubles and carp to about 35ish, well there has been one 34lb out but i am sure there are bigger in there, living in some of the snags, the second lake is a specie lake with the smallest caught being 11lb and largest 43lb,

  • there is indeed pro's and con's for both but try it out both ways i.e casting strait on it or leave it for an hour or 2 and see wot works best for u fella

  • yeh i go through around 40kg a month lol
