the thing is with waighting for fish to arive on the spot is that when u put a lead on it you may spook the fish

sounda to me that you should try fishing bigger beds of bait but that will also depend on wot the number of carp present is and also if they r bait fish (hungry fish)

hemp and party blend is fairly cheep when bought in bulk from affordable tackle i buy it all in 20KG sacksand prepair it all myself

Thanks, ill try casting on staright away, my normal method is wating about 45-60mins or untill i see any action then im on it like a flash

i guess the average being 19-22lb, there is also a small head of cats in there to keep the fry down and the roach at bay, my rec is 32lb on the surface a few summers ago using a flavoured doggie...sorry had to post in 2 posts as maximum is 500 characters

I fish a syndiacte lake and acomercial fishery, the first has a large head of tench and bream to low doubles and carp to about 35ish, well there has been one 34lb out but i am sure there are bigger in there, living in some of the snags, the second lake is a specie lake with the smallest caught being 11lb and largest 43lb,

there is indeed pro's and con's for both but try it out both ways i.e casting strait on it or leave it for an hour or 2 and see wot works best for u fella

Great to see people enjoying this vid, my self and skunky have done a second session on a harder lake this time, a 48 hour session with good results, vids will be posted shortly for this, as for spodding yeah its the way to go, thanks for the comments
