Hunting grenwalls

There are many diffrent ways to hunt grenwalls, i have not yet decided which method is best, but the one im showing in this vid is definately on of the best.
The trip in this vid takes 11 minutes and 18 seconds, and i used 26 of the pawya meats i brought with me, i buy them for 10k ea.
The profit from this trip was 867k-264k (260k for pawya meats and 4k for arctic bear and pak yak) = 603k gp profit in 11minutes and 18 seconds. (3.2m gp/h)
I also got 33k hunter xp on this trip (175k xp/h). The vid is speeded up 2x.

Now this trip was of course way over average, i mostly get 135-155k xp/h and depending on grenwall spike price 2.1m up to 3m gp/h. Grenwall spikes are usually going up and down between 1350 to 1550 gp ea. Of course if you are in no hurry to get the money you should wait to sell untill they are over 1500 gp ea.
I might go for a larger sample size later (100 hours) to determine the actual average xp and gp(spikes and herbs) per hour.

I have tried many diffrent ways to hunt grenwalls this month, i dont know which one is best.

Method 1 (most common way): Use a fruitbat for papayas and hunt both pawyas and grenwalls, ~100k xp/h and 1.5m - 2.2m gp/h. This method seems to be both less gp and xp per hour than the other methos i tried and it requires a lot more effort, i would not use this method at all tbh.

Method 2: Using arctic bear only and bring 22 pawya meats. ~130k - 150k xp/h and 1.8m - 2.7m. Easy method that requires almost no effort at all.

Method 3: Using pack yak only and bring 52 pawya meats. The trips last longer so you dont have to waste very much time banking, but without the +7 hunter lvl boost from arctic bear the grenwalls get away with the bait much more often and you need to buy more meats per xp. But the average xp and gp/h seems to be almost identical with method 2.

Method 4: Using pack yak to store 7 meats and 1 arctic bear pouch, after setting up all the traps you click "take bob" and then dismiss pack yak and summon arctic bear, this way you can get 29 meats on one trip and still use arctic bear the whole time. This is the method i use in this vid. Average seems to be 135k - 155k xp/h and 2.1m - 3m gp/h.

Method 5: Using pack yak to store 11 or more meats and 1 arctic bear pouch, while setting up traps you drop a few meats on every trap (and bait the trap ofc) then "take bob" and dismiss pack yak and summon arctic bear. This methos requires some attention because you will have to pick up and drop the meats you left on the ground so they wont dissapear, untill you have enough space in your inventory to pick them all up. With this method i got my both xp and gp/h records of 183k and 184k xp/h and 3.2m - 3.8m gp/h depending on what price you sell on. However when i tried this method for 10 hours the average was way lower ~133k xp/h and ~2.3m gp/h. So i dont know what to think of this, i guess i will have to try it again sometime.

Method 6: Using arctic bear only, first trip will be similar to method 2, but instead of collecting the traps in the end you pick up and drop them all on the spots you use to have them, then you go bank and go get 27 meats and hurry back to set up the traps and bait them. I have not tried this method very much yet, but i suppose it will be similar xp and gp/h as method 4. This method could also be used with pack yak instead of arctic bear, but that i have not even tried yet.

Method 7: Use arctic bear and have runners to give you full inv of pawya meats every 10 minutes, and 1 arctic bear every 30 minutes. You can pay with herbs or herbs + gp.
Average xp should be ~160-180k/h and gp/h would depend on how much you pay your runner.

When i say average gp on the diffrent methods (1.8m - 2.7m gp/h with 130-150k xp/h as example) the lowest gp/h is what it would be if i got 130k xp/h and the price of grenwalls spikes was only 1350 ea. And the highest gp/h is what it would be if i got 150k xp/h and grenwall spikes was 1550 gp ea. Which is why the gap is so huge between lowest and highest average gp/h.

As for the spots i chose to set up the traps on, that is the spots which seems to catch most grenwalls, surrounding the grenwalls respawn location with 2 traps ea and one trap in middle between them seemed to be a winning concept out of other ways i tried.

Also a good trick to know: Sometimes one of the grenwalls walks in behind the large rock and the fallen tree, south of where i have my middle trap, it usually get stuck in there for a long time when it walks in there, so it's recommended to temporarily move one of the traps to behind that rock so it will get caught faster and start respawning again.

I always wield anti poison totem so i dont need to worry about the poison trap on the way there.

  • How did you get so much pawya meat??? They don't buy in the GE

  • @IgneousSpirit

When i made this vid i could buy them 10k ea, it usually took a couple of hours or even days sometimes. I dont know how hard they are to buy atm, but i think if you're patient you will be able to buy them at 10k ea still :)

  • ur calculation about cash/hour already takes consideration the raw meat u buy?

  • @jony780

yea, i have always bought for 10k ea so the gp/h is based on 10k/meat

  • @RonBest Ok thank you so much!! :)

  • very good job u did thumbs up!

  • @Legendknewl

No tbh i have not bought any auras or any loyalty point rewards yet, and i have not read or seen anything about them either :p I might check that out later :P

  • @RonBest 99, it's mostly just at the start of the trips, but once i start going it doesn't happen as much. it might be just because they are far from their spawns or something. btw i heard that auras help slow gathering resources like these/rocktails/magic trees a lot, have you seen any xp rates with the tracker aura on these?

  • @Legendknewl

What is your hunter level? Many of my traps fall down too, but 75% sounds a bit too much. :O

  • i think i'm doing something wrong. like 75% of the traps i set fall down from being up too long
