1 1/2 years old Captive Bred C. Cornuta Surinam Horned frog. This time of year, these frogs have
done most of their eating and will go without a meal for quite sometime. My frogs is still plump and bright eyed.

  • He does not tend to burrow.

  • Hi RoblinPrime, my Surinam is awake at night, still showing no interest in nightcrawlers, Dubia cockroaches, nor fuzzy mice. When in the warm months my frog is very eager to eat nightcrawlers and cockroaches. He sleeps during the day and night lately. I have a large cork log my frog hides behind. He is on the cool side and does not move to the warm area. He does tend to burrow.

  • They can bury themselves. It is mine perfers to sleep above ground. Yeah he is sleeping all the time this winter. So is my Cranwelli. Thanks for the compliments.

  • That's a really nice looking frog. I've been spellbound by the Surinam since I saw some metamorphs with wonderful patterns. Is he still sleeping? My Cranwell's has been underground for a few weeks now, although I hear him croak from time-to-time (this is perfectly normal for him, he only tends to come to the surface for a dump and to eat); are the Surinams fossorial, too, or do they stick to the surface more?

  • Thank you realdreams1234! He is sleeping this winter.

  • HE IS LOVELY
