  • The color of the hose is not what matters, what matters is if it is a drink safe hose which this one was. We bought it from Costco for about $11 :-)

  • So you sell a possibly dirty possibly leakey water tank that may leach something into my water? Isn't it supposed to be water tight and shouldn't that prevent leaching?

  • @markw94404 All plastic water containers placed on concrete will do this, it is not unique to this product, it is simply chemistry/physics in action.

  • @markw94404 As for leaks, any container with valves/spouts can leak if they are not on tight and while the vast majority of them are shipped out that way there maybe one every now and then that are one rotation short of being perfect. The tanks are not pre-filled to test for valve leaks as that would be a huge waste of water. Instead the valves are connected by a pre-determined number of rotations. For the rare occurrence you will need to turn the valve another rotation (clockwise).

  • @markw94404 As for the product being dirty it is not necessarily dragged through a pig's trough but it isn't manufactured in a USDA approved food processing clean room either and then transported with white gloves in a Presidential armored SUV. In my opinion this is a little more serious than wearing a shirt you bought from the store without washing it. :-)

  • How much does this tank cost? Thanks for posting.

  • @biblesnbarbells It rarely stays the same since we are often doing promotions. The price ranges mostly in the 600s. That includes shipping which for a product like this is a lot since it weighs 135 lbs on a pallet.

  • $776.95 Thats pricey. I use water safe 55 gallon drums @ $12 each. Add a $3 valve, about $0.05 of bleach And done. 4 will give you 220 gallons. $60.20 Then you could fill the bitch with bottled water and still save a fortune.

  • @maxblockm

    Vital point.

    Nice design

    ;0)

  • $659.95 Sale Price - Holy shit.

  • whats leeching?

  • $660 for this .That's crazy. What if there is an Earth Quake and it falls over.It would be better to get 5 -55 gal. tanks.

  • Now you have 250 gallons of fluoridated tap water which is added to keep populations meek, docile and dumb. Better invest also in a reverse osmosis water filter.

  • most people dont ralise this but if u have a water heater when SHTF you have that entire tank full of water

  • $776.95 it the price of this barrel as of 1/18/2012. Nice lookin tho.

  • if you use 55 gallon poly drums under ground do yo see any problems with this?
