Hey yea I agree about your first thing but don't be so narrow minded rap is ok eminem is great so just don't music bash love it listen to it

@andagii You have a valid point. Though now, I don't even care anymore. People can listen to what they want to listen to, right? It expresses who they are and what their personality is. I find no reason to argue the matter as every genre of music needs talent, but maybe different types? Saying what genre is better is like saying which console is better, xbox or ps3? Another one is AMD or Nvidia? Or what country is the 'best'? :)

@ArcticFox1095 Not even metal has one person doing all those. Rap is not usually a band. The Roots, they do instrumental. Mike Shinoda can play several instruments, and It's Going Down include a few instruments and turn tables (?), Lauryn Hill is a rapper, she can play the guitar and possibly another instrument, there's another artist, forgot his name who could play instruments. Most of the above can probably do both. Js.

I disagree, anybody can do something with music and using a machine, which you need to still know music, doesn't mean you don't know how to. And for a lyrical genre, why does it need to focus it's time on instruments compared to metal, which focuses a lot of time on instrumentals? I'm not going to listen anymore, but.. are you mentally ill or something?

If it were talking, "singing along" would be a lot easier. For those who are better at their flow and what not, you have to take time and, like any other genre/singing, you need to practice, practice, practice, and probably test it out with others, such as Eminem did before he got famous. It generally takes days, months, to years to write any form of lyrics and be good with it. The two kids are obviously very ignorant and metal is not talentless, as you pointed out.

You need to know music, whether you're sampling and producing music from a machine or if you're using instruments. However, unlike metal, rock, or other instrumental-based genres, rap focuses more on the lyrics than it does the background music. Although, that is not to say that there aren't producers/rappers who use actual instruments too, as there are. Some rap take more complex beats/backgrounds, while others don't. And it's not talking.

Your shirt is awsome. Also, good video. ENGAME 4 ALL! But really, people need to get there shit right.
I totally agree with you. I'd like to see one of those rap 'singers' try to play drums, guitar, bass, piano/organ/keyboard, and any other instrument, and then sing on top of that! I tried to explain this to my friends not long ago; they say it's all 'pot smoking' music. -:( Even though I don't nessesarily like metal, I have respect for it. x3
