  • just did a search on Troy VanLeuen(a perfect circle guitarist) and this vid came up, is he in the band or something?

AWESOME drum sound, very open...Bonham would be proud!

  • Yeah this is the band Troy was in pre-APC. He is on the far left.

  • oh...do you know the date/location of this particular vid?

  • I think June 1st 1997 in Austin Tx.

  • Wow. This still is one of my favorite bass lines to play. It's so sick how its distorted. I had the privilege of seeing Failure back in late '96, or early '97, honestly can't recall at this moment. But they played this live while a smoke machine was running, and the lights were going, and the sound of hearing them live blew my mind. Oh, and I met Greg Edwards too!

  • man, the bassline and tone is just sick on this song. i miss this band...

  • @haliotropic i see you, son

  • @gregoryhorton Autolux is fucking sick!

  • this band is so over the top good its insane.

  • @devinedragoon Ken is probably better known for his production of other people's projects than he is for his own projects. Troy has probably gotten more press as a performer. They're both amazing and underrated, and great guys too.

  • Fuck yes, Ken is in the zone...so loaded, yet so aware.

  • "feels like i'm fucked forever..."

  • Check out a podcast review of Failure's Fantastic Planet on Dig Me Out, a weekly podcast dedicated to digging up lost College Rock, Alt Rock, Indie Rock and Hard Rock of the 1990s, one album at a time. digmeoutpodcast . com

  • First heard this in '97 and it literally exploded my testicles with that bass sound. its now 14 years later and they still havent grown back

  • Saw these guys open for Tool in buffalo in '94, ridiculous. Check out Autolux if you like this. That's one of these guys and their drummer is sick. Other related bands are "On" and "Year of the Rabbit".
