Marcus Davis was credited with a 24 YD reception in the 2nd quarter, too bad it should have been called incomplete! The ball hit the ground and the refs get it wrong again!

The ball does touch the ground, so I can see why ruling it a catch is a questionable call. Fortunately this call didn't do a whole lot to affect the outcome of the game. What killed the Hokies was a terrible first quarter and stupid penalties by D.J. Coles. I think he even got ejected. I don't mean to throw him under the bus but still it was stupid and that first quarter was a disaster. The rest of the game was awesome and full of suspense. An all-time classic in my book.

@bsurocks82 The guy turned because he was diving to make a tackle. I just saw two different videos of the play that were posted from behind and it is absolutely undeniable. If the player did not dive to make a tackle (While falling forward) He would have landed right on his stomach. Both players were still playing on the late hit and did not hear the whistle but those are the rules. BSU did have more penalty yards but some were from blantant PIs to save TDs.

Boise State had more penalty yards than the Hokies, by double.The touchdown counted, the block in the back was ruled fairly, he hit the guy in the front of his shoulder, the guy even turned as he fell he landed on his back, if he had been pushed in the back, he would land on his stomach right? the late hit i agree was a bad call but by rule it was late, he had been out of bounds for 4 steps, i didnt hear a whistle but that doesnt mean there wasnt one there

Well, the TE didn't have possesion of the ball in the endzone either soooooo? Boise got a touchdown for theirs though.
