In lyrical text, the author describes Harriet Tubman's spiritual journey as she hears the voice of God guiding her North to freedom on her first trip to escape the brutal practice of forced slavery. Tubman, courageous, compassionate, and deeply religious, would make 19 subsequent trips back and was never caught. Her bravery and relentless pursuit of freedom are a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and a lasting legacy of the Underground Railroad. With illustrations by Kadir Nelson. Adapted for Brooklyn Blowback TV by David Kay, MLS with music by Tom Siler
