  • I do like your version. Do you play banjo because it's almost like a banjo frailing tecnique that you use there. I also leared it from Catfish, at one of his workshops.

  • @sgrifennu No..I don't play banjo...I keep having a go, but not owning one means I never have chance to develop the technique. Unfortunately I missed Catfish this year - the last couple of years I've usually put on a gig with him in the West Midlands.

  • Nice version! What model Regal dobro are you playing, sounds great.

Thanks for the complimnet....it's an old 1930s Regal..came to me as basket case and I rebuilt it.

Point of information - it's not a dobro style guitar tho', it's a biscuit bridge reso...dobro style guitars have spider bridges...I get a bit cranky about people calling any reso guitar a Dobro, sorry, no offence intended!!!

  • great song..in wich open tune u pick it?

  • Played in open D

  • Well done mate. Give you 5*

  • Not bad man. There's handdrumming in there though, and the main lick is so cool, maybe play it a few times more. Also - the lyrics... well lissen close, it really is about something specific.

  • @georgewell001

This is closer to Eb Bukka's version on youtube is about a full tone lower (C#) and the slides are quite different, the second one going up to the high tonic, probably the 12th fret.

  • Nice groove man!

  • Cool, i didn't realise Regal made biscuit bridges as well - Nice find!
