@HappierHealthierYou Sounds like the statistics here for murder. They said it was down here last year and the economy is getting bad again due to the arguing by the politicians in Washington. The states don't have the money to hire more police and in a city like Cleveland they put the majority of the police in the areas where the most money is spent instead of the poor areas. In Little Rock the police concentrate on the business district where the tourist goes and it is the same in Hot Springs.

@semco72057 yea that is exactly it, and the area is Very poor (cleveland in the poorest city in the country) in recent years the murdres have decreased, but I expect a big increase in years to come due to the economy

@HappierHealthierYou 145 murders is entirely too many murders and most of them must have been gang related in poor areas. Those living in the suburbs are there because they wanted to get away from the violence and crime. Like so many cities they give up on the inner city and move away due to the high crime rates. The gangs take over and don't care about killing each other.

@semco72057 I heard its alot like east st louis just more dense abd urban. To put it in perspective in 2005 there were 145 murders and cleveland has 390,000 people. There is no north side (lake), no south side (freeways and factorys), and west side is relativily decent (still murders but moslty just poor working folk). So a vast majority of 145 murders on one side of a pretty small city.
