@honduchi Yes, lots of actions have to take place on a bike, just to set up for a turn. Trail braking on a bike requires precision concentration, or you blow more than just the apex.

@johntvette yeah, I've got quite a bit of experience in both areas myself. it sounds like you're probably better then me though. I'd say the largest difference between the two: if you come into a corner too strong in a car--all you gotta do is keep crankin on the wheel; whereas with a bike, you better be ready for the full turn, before even going into the turn!

@honduchi I've race both on club circuits (CMRA and SCCA). On a bike, I can get within 10 seconds of most track records, in the cars I can get within a second or two. When you factor in that I spent about 10 times as much time working on my bike skills, that says a lot.
Look at MotoGP and F1. Valentino Rossi was able to get within a second of a track record in an F1 car, while Michael Shumacher was more than 13 seconds off on a GP bike. Cars don't fall over on their own. Bikes do.

@honduchi With bikes, the rider is 80% of the equation. With cars, the car is 80% of the equations. Cage drivers will never understand that.
