When i change gears it takes half a second or more before the boost kicks in again. You can hear the noise it makes in between gear changes. Is this boost lag or something else?? Thanks.

Ive got a Heavy Duty Clutch, Short Shift, FMIC, Boost Controller and a 3" Straight Through Exhaust. It's a MY99 WRX.

  • Gear changes way too fucking early. Rev it dude, they have a 7500 red line for a reason.

  • my sti use to do that then i changed the plugs and was smooth as hell and on boost straight away

  • I had the same car ( '99 WRX ..well, GT ) and that's the only think that really sucks in these kind of cars , the Turbo Lag. If your car is full stock dont install any kind of blow off .........for that you should have more then 20 PSI

  • more rpm and dont lift off throttle while changing. or drive sensible theres no in-between . more vids mate?

  • should get a view of the boost gauge so we can see what's happening

  • Might want to check for a leaking blow off valve
