This is a review of a Cigar box ukulele I made out of curiosity. I thought it sounded interesting so I figured I would try it out. I was somewhat disapointed in the sound and volume, but non the less it was a fun project.
great effort. the volume issue is due the bridge being so close to the edge. and make sure that you use a glue like titebond I. Im sure that you know that the distance between nut and 12th fret should be the same between the 12th fret and the saddle. If not, then that could be a big cause of your intonation issues. just get a little bit bigger box next time and you should be good to go. ill be looking for your next one.
fair play buddy - good effort and it looks wicked!! good luck on the next one!! take it e z
