Call of Duty World at War victory theme, this is the full version of the Wehrmacht victory.
It's called: Der Königgrätzer Marsch.
Well, it looks like a lot of you need a fucking history lesson, as most of you seem to think this is a by Nazis made song, well people, time to get the facts straight, it's not....
This song is known as Der Königgrätzer Marsch, it was composed after the battle of Königgrätz in 1866.
The battle of Königgrätz was fought in 1866 during the Austro-Prussian wars in which Prussia (considered to be the founder of modern day Germany) gained a decisive victory over Austria, for more information check Wikipedia, using Wikipedia, or Google if you have to, it ain't that hard you know.....
Anyways, if you ever paid any attention during history class you'd know the time of Hitler's reign was between 1933 and 1945, so why is a song from a battle in 1866 used as the victory theme for the Wehrmacht in Call of Duty World at War?
It is because of Hitler, Der Königgrätzer Marsch was one of his favorite songs, often used during parades etc. That's pretty much the only logical reason it was used as the Wehrmacht's victory theme.
This is the way the facts work, no other, now shut the fuck up and stop saying otherwise.
Now let's get down to the Wehrmacht, I don't know why but a majority of idiots seems to think this army was full of Nazis, well, once again, it wasn't.
In the first place the word Wehrmacht simply translates into 'Defensive Force' (compare with other germanic languages, like Dutch for example, they used the word 'Weermacht' which also means Defensive Force).
Now, the Wehrmacht was mainly build up by (very well trained) conscripts and World War 1 veterans from that time around, and very far from all were pro-Nazi or anything like that.
I also wonder how many of you stubborn fools know the Wehrmacht was never disbanded after its defeat at the end of World War 2, actually all that happened was that it was renamed to the Bundeswehr in 1955.
This name is based on the country's official name, which is Bundesrepublik Deutschland (notice the 'Bundes' part).
Also to get another idea out of your heads, this is that Hitler founded the Wehrmacht, this isn't true either, because prior to being called Wehrmacht the German army was called the Reichswehr.
If any of you want to put an epic Nazi mark on some group from that time around, do so on the Waffen SS or the Gestapo, but not on the Wehrmacht, because they weren't Nazis.
And last but not least, if you thought that Germany is now no longer allowed to have an army, you're wrong again.
As a matter of fact, Germany has the biggest army in the European Union, with and without military service.
Without its forces reach up to 255.000 soldiers.
If the event ever occurs that all military service available personnel in Germany have to take up arms to fight the Bundeswehr reaches a size of over 10 million soldiers.
All in all, think twice before saying something over the moon dumb.
Fun fact ( if im right ) This is actually a Prussian song ;)
