@KawhackitaRag Actually.... I have that book! I have the factory photo of it in the book. It looked the same, just had no sides and no percussion.

@anglerfly If you want to see what original DeKleist organs looked like, just look in Ron Bopp's book, "The American Carousel Organ"; there are a couple of dozen original photos of DeKleist organs reproduced in there from an old catalog. I don't think we will ever know all of the DeKleist model numbers or organ types, simply because so few catalogs survive (I think only one or two are known to exist). Very few DeKleist organs exist, and most are smaller than this one.

This poor organ sounds worn out and in dire need of tuning,it must get flogged to death during the season

Knoebels is a very magical place and so are thier band organs. The park sends you back to the times when life was simple.

I wish they had a restaurant beside it. This is my favorite organ in the world but it never plays this roll, it keeps playing this weird roll with yes sir thats my baby, I think its there favorite they never play this roll ven thought htis is my favorite song. every week like before the parks open the organ rolls are changed.

HOw far away is the COAA rally from the De Kliest?
anglerfly 1 year ago
When the COAA has a rally at Knoebels the visiting organs are spread out around the park. There's another one June 12-13, 2010.

The 165 is pretty much at the back of Knoebels. It plays across from the Phoenix roller coaster.
