  • This is so far from the truth! Frankie had a record deal at the time of his death. The reason he went back to New York was to record some songs and do some shows, not beg for them. He was signed to Big Apple 100 right after rehab in late 1966. This movie didnt even include his last two songs recorded in 67 or the ones from 64. Frankie was more than just a junkie womanizer!

  • @Love4FrankieLymon you're right, most of this movie is fiction. it's a shame. i wish someone would do a real movie about him.

  • The movie was pretty accurate until the end..Actually when he went back to New York, he was signed by manager Sam Bray to his Big Apple label, and returned to recording. Roulette Records expressed interest in releasing Lymon's records with Big Apple and scheduled a recording session for Feb. 28, 1968..Lymon, was staying at his grandma's house in Harlem, decided to celebrated his good fortune by taking heroin(after 3 years clean). He overdosed on Feb. 27, 1968, one day before his comeback...DAMN!

  • @cj8803 that wasn't a drug house, that was his grandmothers house

  • frankies ex manger know he was dead as wrong the way he did frankie before he died.thats why he broke down up there.that was his concious how you gone take all the profit and money over sombody elses song.make millions off of it and snapped out when puled o the side about it.

  • even though the movie didnt really tell the real deal story about frankie they sho'll did the right thing by having shirly ceazar sing at his funeral.she sang that song till it just pulls the tears right on out of ya!

  • And to see him get high one last time, then drop dead on a bathroom floor of a drug house, is just sad. So sad.

  • This scene at the beginning is pretty disturbing with all the flashbacks of his past. Then he runs into Coop again, the same man who whooped his ass years ago. Wow.

  • lmfaoo she was like "[tf face] fuck it heres the deal..." lmboo love viv !

  • man after watching this movies his songs stay stuck in my head....r.i.p frankie i wish i could of heard your songs growing up...
