@jbpitcher No chalk is different to plaster. but it may work - I haven't tried plaster in the mix - I will give it a go and see what happens. I think it could work!
"Please watch the video for a glimpse at how she creates and, more importantly, listen to the way she blends her art into her lifestyle. She personifies the artist entrepreneur I am talking about here on this blog. Yes the porridge may become mixed with the gesso on the kitchen table, but it does not phase Hilary. She has created an idyllic lifestyle for her family in the English countryside. She is a Dream Doer indeed." ~ Rebecca E. Parsons ~
@hilarybravo well im in Germany so Everything is difficult to find or communicate here . . ill stick with what ever requires no communication . i guess its the same composition, yes? the chalk pencils and the powder? besides i wont be doing a vast number or projects .
@pyro4869 More tutorials in the making! If you make your bowl to fit around a glass/ceramic bowl - then it could be used for hot food but otherwise as a container for fruit/bread or similar. I don't know of a totally safe way of making them O.K for food.

@sunburNvegas Adding just glue works fine. I used sawdust to add texture and chalk to bind and dry it out plus to make it smoother.
