  • This flute is called a simple system flute or concert flute. It is made out of ebony and has six open holes with four keys. The simple system flute will have anywhere from four to eight keys. This type of flute was in use before the Boehm system came into being. It is the system commonly played by most Irish flute players. My particular flute was made by Michael Copeland of Philidelphia.

  • What was particularly pleasant was that the flautist DID NOT attempt to drown out the harpist.

Which make of model of clarsach are you playing?

    Loved the duet.

  • Thank you for your compliment.

The harp was made in the early 80's by Detroit harp maker Bill Webster. It is the Cecelia model and had 34 strings.

  • Seriously though David...is there an irish/celtic wind instrument you dont play well?!

  • You are too kind.

  • wow, this is beautiful

  • Thank you for the kind words, I am pleased you liked it.
