Shut the hell up lilweezyana6969, you to blacknikes93. if you have nuthin to say but negative thing dont post shit like that. He has 80s technology assholes. If you knew anything 80s were the worst time for power out of anycar. supporting your 4th gen f body nice owning a fugly body style. Only thing 4th got were power plants, 3rd gens had the best style. Look at a nice fucking 3rd gen instead asuming he has a piece of shit just because he has another chevy steering wheel. Hate ppl like yall

@GrantEvanGriffith Why can't people just enjoy the beauty of the cars and just drive the car not compare them?
-
@IROCwarriorAMC88 No you can definitely do work yourself or with a couple buddies. No doubt about that. You can make a 5.0 coupe run 12's with a stock engine. They are only 2900 pounds, very light cars. An iroc is close to 3600 i believe but just doesnt make enough power up top in the rpm range. SImply change the intake setup and you've got a whole different animal. Yes, the l98 can make power. Its a 350.. Just change lots of things and you will see great numbers. For a bigger price than a 5.0..

@IROCwarriorAMC88 Here comes the money issue as i stated. My point, bang for buck, 5.0 wins hands down. Sure i can make an iroc fast if i want to drain my bank account. The 5.0 WILL tear on an IROC no doubt about it, its simple as that. Lighter car, easier to mod, over all quicker. I saw your video, you claim to only be running 14's which is what a lot of fox's run stock. Maybe now that you poured cash into your car, you might pull a high 13..
-
@IROCwarriorAMC88 You cant just throw on every bolt on to the l98 and expect it to be quick. They are not fast and choke out very early in the rpm range. Like i said, If you really want to scream at higher rpms, (which a lot of racing takes place in) you would switch to a different style intake such as an lt1 style. TPI is just not capable due to the long runner design. Its a torque engine for sure. I would not doubt a few bolt on's, on a 5.0, with less money, would murk your Iroc.

@IROCwarriorAMC88 I've never had any issues either, except that its in the back and sometimes a pain in the ass. In the front is much easier to play with. Of course you can make the l98 quick if you decide to dump your bank account savings on it.. TPI engines will not make much hp, it chokes the shit out of the engine. 4500rpms and your shit is dead, no hp. You need a mini ram or lt1 style intake to make numbers up top, along with better heads and cam. Like i said, swap everything out to make hp
-
@IROCwarriorAMC88 No im talking about distributor in the rear.. Not rear end. Mod for mod, the 5.0 wins. Complete bullshit? How so? The l98's are definitely not powerful.. The intake design is terrible for making hp numbers, it should have been a truck engine by the torque it has. Sure, the l98 has lots of potential.. If you decide to rip off the whole top end and start over! There has only been a few l98's running good times on the 1/4, but most of them are slow as hell with NO potential.
-
@cbr900rr919 Chevy engines are shit, dizzy in the rear sucks. Trust me, a 5.0 would smash on a 5.7 tpi All day every day. Those irocs are slow as hell, even the 5.7. The aftermarket sucks unless you plan on swapping the entire tpi system out for a better intake design. Even then you need new heads and new cam to even make decent power. You will never pass smog if do all that work. With a 5.0, easily make power and respond to mods way better than an l98.

@GrantEvanGriffith its old but the fox mustang ho 5.0 is only .25 sec faster than the iroc-z of the same era according to motorweek . and 3rd gen camaros have just as much after market support as the stangs do and to this day also. i can get anything you can get for your stang. and chevy motors are just better look at the crate engines for ford and then chevy small blocks. the ford 347 340hp the 383 chevy 500hp ford blocks are week need stud girdles to make power
-
@northerncustomsracin ya know i like the mustang fox but motorweek did the quarter mile test and the mustang was only .25 sec faster stock for stock. the 3rd gen camaros have just as much aftermarket support as a mustang dose
-
@GrantEvanGriffith I'm pretty sure that this new generation of mustang is the first gen to have the ability to outdo the Camaro. Back in the old days your fox body wouldn't stand a chance. BTW, i'm a huge ford guy as well.
You need 3.73s for the camaro to keep up with the mustang, haha. If you knew anything about engines, 5.0's have a huge aftermarket selection even to this day. Im sure the ls engines are coming up to a huge aftermarket because they are becoming more popular. But still, A cam and heads is not making 500hp ish. Cam and heads maybe 400. Their bitch engines.

@GrantEvanGriffith and once again..... your still slow.

yeahh i dont know where your getting your information because the new 5.0 murks the camaro in 0-60 and 1/4. Im sure GM will touch the camaro now that the mustang is beating it. Look again, 5.0 smashes on the camaro in 1/4. yeah i was talking about those 2000 v6 mustangs as well, they are just as slow as the camaros. Mustang 5.0 has 412hp about 10hp less than the camaro ss. BUT the mustang is Lighter, making the mustang faster in speed. Go learn about mustangs and camaros.

@GrantEvanGriffith i will admit the new mustang runs good. they are nice cars and i would love to have one.... butttt.... that doesnt make your sorry ass look any better bragging about your shitty fox body. i mean you can keep arguing this but deep down you know i would smoke your rustang. deep down you know you have no dick, no future, no money, and no girlfriend, deep down you know it.
