Yay for Sanda! The Kung Fu Combat sport. Finally, they learn a take down!

@shoulung Training is different. A martial that balances itself between kicking and punching will always look similar. As Bruce Lee once said - "Before I studied the art, a punch was just like a punch, a kick just like a kick. After I studied the art, a punch is no longer a punch, a kick is no longer a kick. Now that I understand the art, a punch is just like a punch, a kick is just like a kick." The only thing that seperates the two arts is the takedowns and street fight elements.

@shoulung I think they have less in common with traditional Muay Thai. But Western Muay Thai, or other types are extremely similar. In fact I learned this exact takedown IN Muay Thai.

WTF!!! He's just standing there cathing a side kick to the torso without moving away from the strong point of strike! Best way to cath your opponent's leg.......and get your ribs broken!!! :)

where do you get your information.
I mean, you're arguing against people that actually train in sanda by saying that its really just muay thai.
I sure hope you have some proof. because I hope you're not just another dude that watches to much youtube and somehow think he has gain complete knowledge about martial arts from fucking youtube.
sanda and mauy thai have very little in common.
in sanda the stance is extremely different, the strikes are thrown differently. sanda has throws.
