sorryy dont mean to be a pain in the butt but actually yes, they did start off as a Christian Alternative Band they arent anymore if you look around im sure you'll find an endless amount of Jon Foreman's quoates saying that they dont want to close anyone out by labelign their music.Which is a huge deal for me since im not Christian and they do say their influences are their christian faith,some songs r bout religon but dont say they have always been a christian band bc they are not. =]

Yes, I know my Switchfoot very well Dare i say The best since they are an Important reason of life for me =] so i think im right when i say let's Just call them the Best band in existence instead of labeling them somethng, which will hurt their non-christain fans =] thought i'd get that off my chest=] but i mean no harm at all just telling ppl he truth

I argue that "best" is subjective, as it usually is. When comparing values of the same things, however, "best" can be objective, if the purpose is already defined. (Though, it can only go two ways, usually- that either higher or lower is optimal for better results.)

Putting that aside, their music is great (subjective, but could be compared). I was gifted the Switchfoot "The Best Yet" CD, which has this as track 13, and is possibly my second favorite next to track 12, Love Is The Movement.

to each their own right? :) and yes Love is the Movement is an awesome song :D
