Here is a video about how to generate speed and power through depth of impact and chambering techniques. The only way to predict and aim a kick is by looking at the knee and where it's pointed to. Hope this is helpful for some of you. I tried to break it down, but I know I could have done better. Tell me if anything was unclear or you have questions.

Addition from a good Question in the Comments:

Anyway, to be more specific. I took TKD's way of gaining power in the structure and beginning of a strong kick and combined it with Bruce Lee's Jun Fan JKD with his quick "No Chamber" foot snap/directness of movement. Then I found from other style of mine like Wing Chun and Bagua that twist and counter spiraling helps to maintain balance of the centerline and develops a clashing effect for a more powerful result. I discovered it doubles the impact of two energies coming together in it's center.

In short, its the summary is Power came from TKD Speed came from Jun Fan JKD (Bruce Lee's JeetKuneDo) and increase speed and power came from me knowing the centerline theory and waist motion of counter spiraling energies found in Bagua and even Tai Chi

  • What martial art most influenced how you kick? They look TaeKwonDoish but a lot sharper and more powerful than any practitioners of it I ever worked out with.

  • Yes good eye! It is part TKD but it is also influenced by Jun Fan JKD which was Bruce Lee's first invention of martial arts, but he noticed that it only fit him and a few others like him. He then went on to what is widely known as JKD or MMA. Which goes on the basic fundamentals of JKD but has some room to tailor to the individual martial artist and their body chemistry/mechanics.

  • 2 questions and a statement spittle8. Ostensibly as a boxer you've been hit in the nose correct. Well it doesn't take much force ti stun or make an opponent tear up...second question when was the last time you saw a neck strike in the mma...? Statement: this may be a different discipline than yours but show some respect that is skill not crap that takes control and precision also this video is about speed, not a series of devastating combat techniques. F=MA Ciao!

  • not bad ... no it´s a really good demo and great kicking ... almost like bruce!

  • Great kicks

  • is is Law from teken

  • What;s the meaning of the 'no chamber foot snap'?

  • Those are seriously nice kicks man, wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of that foot. great! keep on going!!

  • are you this good with your left leg too?

  • Hey maskdefender, you have good form with your kicks here. An upright high section kick. Also if you turned your foot inward at the ankle you would have a ball of the foot impact edge, which is some seriously bad weopan! Also watched your video showing some shaolin hand forms. This was very insightful for me, you have some very interesting knowledge. TY.

  • @LuvTo69 trust me it will hurt especially if it's a direct hit.

  • Serious, i love your tutorials! thx man! :-)
