Actually, I'm pretty sure Transformers don't have the same concept of Male and Female as organic beings do.

I mean, in Beast Wars alone there's like...

Megatron/Dinobot (Dinobot left and Megatron is basically obsessed over losing him)

Dinobot/Rattrap

Optimus/Rhinox

But none are as iconic as...well....this.

@BFBrown3 Because there are like ten or so female transformers in the entire series and many dozen males, girls is in short supply and then I guess you take what you can get. :P

@nyuteme Actually, transformers do have genders it is in the cannon, it is not clear why they have genders but it is hinted that those that build them wanted to imitate biological life like that, so yes I do not think they really do...well sex, but they do have genders and they do have love relationships.
