I have a slope D like this except its a flamed maple with Bearclaw sitka top. Out of all the nice, high end boutique guitars I have owned it has been the keeper. Dana really knows how to make a slope shoulder!

I've heard Brian Sutton play the Banjo Killer. It's an amazing guitar. A friend of mine has a Bourgeois Georgia Dreadnaught. It's an exceptionally nice guitar as well. To be honest, I'm actually hooked on Santa Cruz guitars, but I won't deny the clarity and power of Dana's instruments.

Yeah, Dana's take on the slope shoulder is a great design. Definitely my favorite builder out there.

Nicely done. I bet you're lovin' that guitar. Bourgeois guitars are tremendous. I prefer the Slope Ds over the standard Ds. Keep up the great playing.

Thanks!
Dana & Co build some fine guitars. This SD240 is different from his standard Slope D in that it has scalloped bracing on both the treble and bass sides (as opposed to his asymmetrical scalloped bracing). It sounds more like the Banjo Killer than a standard Slope D, imo.
