  • One of the best "thank you" speeches I have ever heard. She will always be the class act that she was. In my opinion, she is up there with many of the great ladies of movies. Thank God for a woman like her.

  • I remember seeing a tape of this honorary Oscar presentation - unfortunately I was unable to see it live because I had rehearsal. I remember being dismayed at her physical deterioration, but then I heard that voice -- that was still the same. It was the highlight of an Oscar season of good films and performances.

Besides her, my favorite part of this clip - and as I recall from watching it the first time long ago - was seeing Anthony Hopkins applauding her. I thought to myself, "He knows."

  • I love her in Quo Vadis the most but everything else just elegantly acted. Hollywood Royalty and a class act. x

  • 2:38 gosh! so freakin cute, her facial expression

  • To all those younger people who have never seen her act, may I suggest the movie that will make you cry: An Affair To Remember with Cary Grant.

You will understand then why she is Hollywood Royalty at its best.

  • Six times nominated actress without winning is receiving an honorary Oscar for another six-time-nominated-actress? JUSTICE PLEASE!!!

  • Glenn might win this year i think

  • Deborah Kerr era fantástica!

Bons tempos em que a Academia sabia homenagear grandes artistas. Só é uma pena que eles tiraram o vídeo onde apareciam cenas da carreira

  • Her performance in The Innocents (1961) was one of the finest ever!

  • @PhillyDippy5 No she was Scottish!

  • Just watched "An Affair To Remember" tonight - what a great classic - and fell in love with Debra - I need to see all her movies again - these great classics are priceless!

  • Fantastic and immortal.
