  • I simply dont agree with banning books, they are all within the 1st amedment. You can not bann a book about satanism (freedom of religion). you can not bann a book for offensive language (freedom of speech).and i have the freedom to write this comment (freedom of press). If you are going to bann a book on porn, why not bann playboy along with it? THINK LOGICALY! LET ME HAVE MY FUCKING FREEDOMS! DONT BANN BOOKS, ITS WRONG!

  • Some of the most famous books ever written have been banned or burned and are among the best one can read if that one wants to avoid being like so many blind sheep filled with their ignorance, hatred and intolerance against others who aren't enough like themselves.

  • Whenever right wing subhumans ban books the sales of those books increase. People like me know it's a good book when the far right are screaming against it. If someone banned the sale of the bible you'd see right wingers hitting the streets with their guns and shooting people.

  • @TheNerdyCanuck yeah its anti- communism as is animal farm its like duhh

  • @LifesPrisoner370 I agree i had to read those books and i enjoyed them because they challenged me to think and to draw my own beliefs especially goerge orwell books

  • Rebel against authority! Read a banned book.

  • Quite honestly, it surprises me that some kids aren't exposed to these books because they're "banned". Reading the banned list, every single book that's mandatory to read in my high school is on that list, and y'know what? I learn more from those than from the "safe" ones. Because banned books challenge authority in ways, and more importantly challenge you to think.

When I become an author, being a best seller would be great, but being on the banned list? My life would be awesome.

  • banning books should be banned!

  • If you don't like the book DON'T READ IT! Don't go banning them cuz you don't like them! Ugh! the reasons for these things are so stupid! It sickens me to see that when people say kids don't read enough, then they look at the list of banned books! You wonder why they don't see it! you know?

  • The 2 Orwell books mentioned here are among my favs (read them back in HS days in the 50s and again in recent years). I grouped them with my Huxley which I also re-read. That was my style of writing too, back when I did fiction- because the political and social satire was the best expression for someone like myself.
