A re-upload of this fine (and difficult to make) clip - from the rare 1983 Rockpalast concert.

I also made videos from this concert of "Clubland" and "Pump It Up" - with Afrodiziac and the TKO Horns. If I find them...

Watch Elvis and the boys get funky. I'd better dedicate this to Attractions bassist Bruce Thomas (wherever you are).

  • Bruce rocks

  • I've being waiting... for like YEARS... to read his book about his life with the band.

Anyone here read it? Anything to share?

  • Thanks for the upload.

It's a good video of the group and a good play of Shabby Doll, but the audio's a little too compressed.

  • I'll mention it to Elvis...

  • Thanks so much for posting this.

Bruce and Pete are the most underrated rhythm section EVER. Amazing musicians.

  • Yeah baby! Give MotelMatches a run for his money LoL

Certainly One Of my all time fave E.C. songs, Thanks!

  • @lebarosky You are so RIGHT!!! He's brilliant, for sure!!!!

  • There is nobody that writes a song quite like Elvis Costello, and this cut is a great example. I can't believe all those rockers out there who are young haven't turned on to this type of music.

  • No argument there. Lipstick Vogue?! Best bass/drum line in rock.

  • i like this song better with Fiona APple!but this is great too!

  • they've been playing it often the past couple years, actually. totally awesome.

  • Its actually very disappointing - he comes across as being very bitter in it - i'm not actually at all surprised that Elvis spat the dummy over it. Also he almost totally ignores the music and his bass playing in it which is such a shame when he is one of the greats on the instrument - he became much less of a hero after reading his 'told you so' memoir
