Operation Resurrection 2010 - Responding to the Haiti Earthquake

The Western Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church responded to the aftermath of the January 2010 earthquake in Haiti by launching "Operation Resurrection 2010: A Compassionate Response to the Earthquake from the Western Jurisdiction" with goals of raising awareness, monetary support, "health kits" for UMCOR's efforts, and to support UMVIM (Volunteers in Mission) trips to Haiti during the long time of rebuilding.

The effort has been extremely successful, raising over 2 million dollars and has helped to coordinate the enormous outpouring of aid from the United Methodists of the Wester Jurisdiction. More details are at:
