ROLL-X RX2 Incubator, how it works... by Frederick Dunn, author of Regarding Chickens DVD Video

Lyons ROLL-X RX2 Incubator is demonstrated here, pieces and parts. This unit is interesting as it has a back up thermostat in case the first solid state thermostat fails. These units are VERY expensive, but they will last for many years of incubating. I wish the power cord was longer, and that the rollers rolled easier. Other than that, this is a stellar unit. You can add water, increasing the relative humidity, without opening the incubator.

@HTCSWEOD I am not sure how to do this. But, can you help me with something. I have an incubator like this and the egg turner is for really large eggs, like goose. Can you tell me how to adapt it to fit chicken eggs or get one which will work. I can't figure out how.

I've subscribed :-) I can't wait to view more of your videos! We incubate and hand raise all of our parrots and cockatiels. The incubator and brooder we use was included in a purchase of birds last year. It sat on my back porch for 2 or 3 months before I had time to clean it up and see if it worked. I had no idea how to use it. Your advise is greatly appreciated. Thank you again for your replys.
