Don't want to pull out if he is moving? Yeah then you have to wait longer because you stopped and he rolled? I pull up slam on brakes stop completely then nail it. Scares the shit out of rollers.....

true, No argument there. We can never be too safe
-
@pipmysterio because you are still at risk... Why take a risk when you can take danger completley out of the picture. Its not a bad stradegy but its bad to assume the the car next to you would shield you from the full impact of a side collision, because trust me the car will end up in your lane or ontop of you.

I tend to go around long lights & bad intersections
Step 1: Right on red. Then left turn indicator
Step 2: Head up, looking ahead & behind me
Step 3: A little rear brake, & u-turn the bike when it's safe
Do that over and over till you right turn into your desired lane of travel
I'm sure a cop would have something to say about that or some of you might think it's unsafe but as far as I know it's legal & IF you get any contact it'll be from the vehicle behind you & in most states their fault

@pipmysterio Generally I get right up to the rear wing of a car ahead of me at dodgy juctions, if there aint a car ahead of me I watch their wheels and look for an escape always, it only takes once and your done, ride safe
-
why dont u just hide beside a car and using the car as a shield when passing an intersection? a lot safer way
-
wow.. that's HORRIBLE. people don't really do that here fortunately. but... its still smart to watch for if you're a motorcycle rider for sure. i get people all the time trying to kill me :(

lmao

Hey Capt, Great pointer on watching the wheels. I love your videos, and I like to pass them on to my Women In The Wind Northern Women Chaper.
Keep up the great work!

True man, here in Shoshone people never stop. Sometimes they don't even slow down (Like my brother hehe) and they just blow right through the stop sign. I always come to a full stop especially since I just got my privilege to drive :)
what if you have spinners

Watch the outside of the tire, the side wall will tell you what's up.

that will be hard to see since the tires are usually thin

That's ok, just watch the tread roll under!
